Stephanie Petinaux is 11 years old and attends St. Kilian Parish School, PA. She started piano with her mother at age 5 and her current teacher is Dr. Marina Lupinacci. She won the Duquesne Young Artist National Competition 2nd prize in 2012 and 2013, PPTA duet competition 1st prize in 2012, and was the winner of the Steinway Society of Western PA, playing at the Heinz Hall Lobby in 2012 and 2013. She attended Summer Sonata at Cleveland Institute of Music in June, 2013. Stephanie has also played violin for the last 5 years. She plays violin at St. Alphonsus Church and also visits several nursing homes during the holidays to perform piano and violin for the residents. Other than music, Stephanie enjoys cross country running, reading and drawing.
