The PCS 2011 Young Artists auditions were held on Saturday, January 8. The adjudicator was John Mangan, vice president and dean, the Curtis Institute of Music. Dr. Mangan chose the following winners, listed in alphabetical order:
Niles Brandon, piano, a student of Mineko Avery, attends Pine-Richland High School
Lydia Gibson, mezzo soprano, a student of Thomas Octave, attends Saint Vincent College
Helen Kim, piano, a student of Hanna Li, attends Taylor Allderdice High School
Brandon Lambert, tenor, a student of Judy Jenkins, attends Point Park University
Eleanor Lee, cello, a student of Anne Martindale Williams, attends Trinity High School
Michelle Lee, piano, a student of Hannah Li, attends North Allegheny High School
Dana Schneider, harp, a student of Gretchen Van Hoesen, attends Seneca Valley High School
Katherine Zhou, piano, a student of Hanna Li, attends North Allegheny High School

The above winners will be presented in two concerts and will each receive a Benjamin and Anna Perlow scholarship. All concerts are at the Kresge Recital Hall, College of Fine Arts, Canegie Mellon University
