The Pittsburgh Concert Society announced the winners of the 2012 Young Concert Artist Auditions today.

The auditions were held on Saturday, January 7, in Kresge Theatre, College of Fine Arts, at Carnegie Mellon.

The adjudicator was Thomas Novak, Dean of the College of New England Conservatory.

From 30 outstanding young musicians, Mr. Kovak selected nine winners, who will receive Anna and Benjamin Perlow scholarships and be presented in formal concerts on March 11 and 18, 2012. 

The winners, listed in alphabetical order, are:

In addition to his Pittsburgh Concert Society recital in March, violinist Kemper Edwards will also appear with the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Walter Morales, on a date to be announced.
