The Pittsburgh Concert Society's Major auditions were held on April 20 and 21, 2007. The adjudicator was Dean Stephen Clapp of the Juilliard School. Dean Clapp chose the following musicians who will be presented in concert in the fall and who will each receive an honorarium of $1000:

The Bridge City Winds, Beverly Crawford, flute; Valerie Di Carlo, oboe; Mary Beth Malek, clarinet; Scott Bohannon, French horn; Britt Hebert, bassoon

Emma Hancock, violin
Jonathan Katz, piano
Nao Kwon, marimba
Marie Tachouet and David Bergman, flute and percussion
Marco Sartor, guitar
