The Pittsburgh Concert Society's Majors auditions were held on April 17 and 18, 2008. The adjudicator was Jeffrey Sharkey, Director, Peobody Institute. Mr. Sharkey announced the winners at the PCS annual dinner. Those winners are, in alphabetical order:
Amelia D'Arcy, soprano
Animé BOP! Linda Morton Fisher, Robin Driscoll, and Robert Frankenberry, bassoon, oboe, and piano
Anat Kardontchik, violin
Yunhwa Song, flute
Trio Nova Mundi: Maureen Conlon, violin, Kathryn Bates, cello, and Rodrigo Ojeda, piano
Sha Wang, piano
Each winner receives an honorarium in the amount of $1000 and will be presented in concert in the fall of 2008, September 21, October 26 or November 23.
