Claire Edwards was born in Canterbury, England and moved with her family to the Pittsburgh area in 2003. She started formal lessons on the violin at the age of four, and currently studies with Rufina Yefimova, a former student of the Moscow Conservatory. Claire has been a participant in violin and chamber music masterclasses with Professors Zakhar Bron, Ana Chumachenco, and Mauricio Fuks at Kronberg Academy in Germany, and has also attended the Academy’s 20th Anniversary Festival in 2013.
