Abigail Evans

Violin

Abigail Evans is a student of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra violist Paul Silver. She began her studies in music on the violin at the age of six. Since then, her teachers have included Rosalyn Troiano, Albert Hirtz, Carolyn Huebl, and Stephen Shipps. She has performed in various ensembles such as the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra and the  Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. Abigail attended the Meadowmount School of Music as a violin student, where she also began to study the viola with David Salness. She was recently awarded a music scholarship from The Keynotes of Mount Lebanon. In the summer of 2000, Abigail will travel to Sapporo, Japan, to participate in the orchestra of the Pacific Music  Festival. She will begin studies at The Cleveland Institute of Music with Jeffrey Irvine in the fall of 2000.
