Sarah Lincoln (soprano saxophone) is a junior performance major at Duquesne University. She was the winner of the Music Teachers National Association competition and performed on NPR's 'From the Top.' She has performed as a soloist with the Magic Valley Symphony, Twin Falls Municipal Band, and is an Interlochen Emerson Scholar. This past year she performed with the Pittsburgh Opera in The Three Penny Opera, and the Shadyside Presbyterian's choral arrangement CD which was nationally released in August. Sarah teaches saxophone and plays baritone saxophone in the Duquesne Jazz Band, first alto saxophone in Duquesne University's Wind Symphony and soprano saxophone in the Affinity Saxophone Quartet.
Andrew Hays (alto saxophone) received his Bachelor of Music degree from Duquesne University. Mr. Hays is currently working to complete his Master of Music degree. Mr. Hays was the winner of the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra concerto competition and performed in master classes with the New Century Saxophone Quartet. Mr. Hays is an active performer in the Pittsburgh area and has most notably performed with The Roger Humphries Big Band and the Balcony Big Band.
Dean Williams (tenor saxophone) recently received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Duquesne University. Mr. Williams has performed with Duquesne Wind Symphony, and the Duquesne University Chamber Singers, and traveled with the Paper Street Saxophone Quartet as a finalist in the 2001 Coleman Chamber Music Competition in Pasadena, CA. Mr. Williams plans to pursue a teaching career in the Pittsburgh area.
Matt Poland (baritone saxophone) has recently received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Duquesne University. Mr. Poland has performed with the award-winning Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble at Duquesne University. He hopes to pursue a masters degree in saxophone performance as well as teach in the public school system.
