Agatha Holland, sopranoAgatha Holland graduated Magna cum Laude from Truman State University, Missouri and proceeded to earn her Master of Arts degree at the University of Central Missouri. She won first place in the advance women division of NATS in both the Tri-state and Kansas City Chapters. She also won first place at the Quistorff Aria Competition (2017) and second place at the Southern Illinois Young Artist Vocal Competition (2019). She was the 2019 winner of the FIO Italia competition.

In addition, Agatha took leading roles in opera productions and concerts:

  • Serafina in Il campanello di notte by Donizetti.
  • Laetitia in the Old Maid and the Thief by Menotti.
  • Adele in Die Fledermaus by Strauss II
  • Lucy in The Telephone by Menotti
  • Iyabo in The Odyssey of a Dream – an African Opera by Bode Omojola. (World Premier) 
  • Eliza in My Fair Lady
  • Soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria
  • Soloist in Porgy and Bess – Concert version
  • Soloist in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

In 2016, Agatha made her New York debut, singing as a soloist in Carnegie Hall with the University of Central Missouri concert choir. Agatha is a member of the Music Honor Society of America (Pi Kappa Lambda). She is currently a doctoral student under the tutelage of Dr. Hope Koehler and a recipient of the W.E.B Dubois research fellowship award at West Virginia University.
