Billie Jo Miller brings an innate musicality and dynamic energy to her playing as a collaborator, chamber musician and opera pianist. Ms. Miller was a founding member of the Bell’Art Ensemble, a chamber music group that produced the Living Room Chamber Music Project series performing in people’s homes. Bell’Art has performed in homes across the greater Pittsburgh area for the past 10 years “bringing classical music to people one Living Room at a time”. For the past two summers she was a Fellowship Pianist with Classic Lyric Arts in France, Italy and the Berkshires. She served as staff pianist for Pittsburgh Festival Opera Young Artists Program. Billie Jo has performed with Resonance Works Pittsburgh, members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra,CMU faculty members, winners of the Pittsburgh Concert Society, as well as performing on many concert series throughout the area. Ms. Miller has worked on the faculty of CMU as a pianist/coach for both instrumentalists and vocalists as well as a teacher in the CMU Pre-college program and Preparatory School. She was also a teacher and pianist/coach at the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts High School. She earned her AMS in Collaborative Piano, Vocal Coaching and MM studying with Dr. Jocelyn Dueck, Ralph Zitterbart, David Deveau, and pedagogy with Hanna Wu at Carnegie Mellon University. Ms. Miller is currently working on her AD Opera Coaching degree with Marie-France Lefebvre at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
