The Bridge City Winds, comprising Beverly Crawford, flute; Valerie DiCarlo, oboe; Mary Beth Malek, clarinet; Britt Hebert, bassoon and Scott Bohannon, French horn, come together from prestigious musical backgrounds and experience.
Members of Bridge City Winds have enjoyed illustrious musical careers that have taken them to many parts of the world – a Fulbright in Vienna,Austria, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Los Angeles Film Studios, the Vatican and the Orquesta National de Chile.
They come together to bring to Pittsburgh a fresh idea in the wind chamber music genre with collaborations with singers, pianists, orchestras, strings, narrators and actors. Bridge City Winds has been recognized as a Pittsburgh Concert Society 2007 season winner and has concert tours scheduled throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas for the upcoming 2007-08 season.
