Clinton Velandia Mantilla

Clinton Velandia Mantilla started his musical studies in his native Venezuela. In 1994, he joined the piano faculty at the Israel Vocal Arts Institute. He has attended summer courses at the Vienna Conservatory, Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia, Universidad Alscala de Henares, among others.

He was a recipient of the Venezuelan Council of Culture Awards (1996-98). In May 1998, he received his Master in Music from Duquesne University. He is currently studying with Olga Howard. Clinton has performed at the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, Spain; Holley Hallat the Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center, Sarasota, Florida; Schwan Hall, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and the Helen Bader Recital Hall at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.

Clinton is the new Associate Pianist at the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He also collaborates with members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at the Piano Arts National Concerto Competition.
