Cody Piper began to study piano at the Carnegie Mellon University Music Preparatory School at the age of five with Luz Manriquez. Presently, Cody is studying with Natalie Phillips, senior lecturer in piano at the University of Pittsburgh. Cody’s interest in music was inspired by his late grandfather, Anthony Bianco, who played the double bass in the Pittsburgh Symphony for fifty-five years and taught at Carnegie Mellon University for sixty years. Cody has served as piano accompanist for all of the North Allegheny High School choirs, includin the Honors Chamber Choir. Cody also sings Tenor II in both the Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. He has performed in Disney World in Orlando, Florida with the choirs, and has won awards as outstanding piano accompanist for North Allegheny High School. In addition, he has played with the North Allegheny Orchestra in their productions of Les Misérables and Peter Pan, and he has been chosen as pianist for the 2013 spring musical Footloose.
