Craig Verm

Baritone

Baritone Craig Verm is currently a Young Artist in the Pittsburgh Opera. Last season he sang the roles of Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Marchese D’Obigny (La Traviata), Wagner (Faust), and the 2nd Prisoner (Fidelio). In Pittsburgh Opera’s 05-06 season he will sing Marullo (Rigoletto), Angelotti (Tosca), Ariodate (Xerxes), and the Wigmaker (Ariadne auf Naxos)

A frequent summer festival artist, Mr. Verm has sung with the Sante Fe Opera, the Cincinnati Opera, and the Aspen Music Festival. During the summer of 2005 he returned to Aspen to sing the Forester in The Cunning Little Vixen

In 2004, Mr. Verm received his masters of music degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he sang Golaud (Pelléas et Mélisande), Don Alfonso Cosî fan tutte),and the title role in Carlisle Floyd’s Markheim. He received his bachelor of music degree from Rice University in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
