Soprano Diba Alvi has appeared most recently as Woglinde and Helmwige in The Ring Saga with the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. Last fall she won critical acclaim for her portrayal of Catherine in A View from the Bridge, also with the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh.
Additional engagements include The Merry Widow and Un Ballo in Maschera with the Palm Beach Opera, La Favorita and Les Huguenots with the Opera Orchestra of New York, and Summer and Smoke and The Magic Flute with the Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh. She has also performed with the Ohio Light Opera and the Comic Guild of Michigan.
Ms. Alvi is also active in Opera Theater’s Educational Outreach Program and has performed the roles of Pauline in The Toyshop and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. She has also been a soloist with the Three Rivers Choral Society, the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera, the Washington Festival Chorale, Southminster Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, Trinity United Methodist Church and the Woodward Cathedral of Detroit.
