Jeannine Zhou, 14 years old, is a 8th grader at Carson Middle School. She has studied piano with Dr. Marina Lupinacci since shortly before 5.
Jeannine has participated in the Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania (SSWPA) Young Artist Auditions since 2016 and has been awarded various performing opportunities. In 2023, the Audition awarded her Melanie Schmidt Memorial Prize without age limit. Also in 2023, she and Bryan Wang won 1st prize in PMTA upper division duet piano competition.
At the age of 10, she successfully completed RCM level 10 practice exam and finished certification at 12. She won 1st prize at the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition and performed in the winners recital at the Weill Recital Hall in New York, on March 14, 2018. She also won 1st prize in 19th Century and Schumann series of Great Composers Competition, respectively.
She co-chairs youth program of SSWPA to organize performances at senior living centers. Besides piano, she enjoys baking, reading and hanging out with her friends.
