A native of Korea, Jeong-hyun Kim recently received her Master of Music at Carnegie Mellon where she studied with Jeanne Baxtresser and Alberto Almarza.
A graduate of Seoul National University, she was a member of the Seoul Youth Philharmonic and she was a soloist with the Korean Symphony.
Ms. Kim has won numerous competitions in her native Korea, notably the Seoul Symphony Orchestra concerto competition. She was a 2006 Pi Kappa Lambda nominee.
Presently, Ms. Kim is pursuing her Graduate Performance Diploma in Flute Performance at Peabody Institute, studying with Marina Piccinini.
