John Tiranno

John Tiranno is currently working towards a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance at West Virginia University, where he studies with Augusto Paglialunga. John is the Graduate Assistant in Voice at WVU, an adjunct voice professor at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV and the choir director at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Morgantown. Recent performances have included singing Tamino in Mozart's The Magic Flute, with the WVU Opera Theatre, the title role in Edward Elgar's oratorio The Dream of Gerontius, with the WVU University Choir and Camille de Rosillon in Die Lustige Witwe, as part of the Austrian American Mozart Academy in Salzburg, Austria. Mr. Tiranno returned to Salzburg this summer to sing the role of Monostatos in The Magic Flute, as well as Caramello in Johann Strauss's operetta Nacht in Venedig.
