Soprano Erlandson Katherine Soroka has enjoyed a career in both vocal performance and performing arts management. In Pittsburgh, Ms. Soroka has performed solo Classical Cabaret benefit concerts for the McKeesport Symphony and appeared as Jennie in Company, at The Pittsburgh Playhouse. In 2004, Ms. Soroka sang with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and narrated a Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra “Tiny Tots” concert. She also performed in recital at The Frick Art and Historical Center, Duquesne University and on the Steinway Lunchtime Musical series. This season Ms. Soroka has performed in recital for the Tuesday Musical Club and the Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival.
Ms. Soroka has performed in recital at Merkin Concert Hall, Cami Hall, and at The Greenwich House, the Miller Theater and The Kitchen, in New York City as well as at the Aspen Music Festival. She has performed in Handel’s Messiah and Bach's Magnificat and her operatic roles include the Countess, Cherubino, Dido and Cenerentola. Ms. Soroka has written and performed cabaret acts in New York City and has appeared in television, theater and film. In addition, Ms. Soroka has served in the management of the New York Philharmonic, as Executive Director of the Grand Teton Music Festival and the Children's Festival Chorus of Pittsburgh. She held teaching and administrative positions at the Manhattan School of Music.
