Lawrence is a 10th grader in Fox Chapel Area High School. He has studied piano with Hanna Wu Li and Tanya Gelman for the past 10 years. Lawrence was the winner of the 2012 World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, as well as the winner for the 2014 Duquesne Piano competition. More recently, Lawrence was announced a winner of the 2020 Pittsburgh International Competition. As well as these competitions, Lawrence has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall multiple times. Outside of piano, Lawrence spends his time fencing as well as competitive flute.
