Leona Chen is a freshman at Upper St. Clair High School. Leona currently studies with Professor Luz Manriquez at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music and previously studied with Chad Twedt. She has won various awards at the Pittsburgh International Piano Competition, the UIUC Discover FAA High School Competition, the Steinway Society Young Artists, and the Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs Competition. She regularly volunteers at the Do Re Mi Project providing free online piano lessons. Besides piano, Leona plays violin in her school orchestra and enjoys math competitions.
