Lorriana Markovic, Soprano, received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from Duquesne University, under the direction of Ms. Mija Novich, her current teacher. Her repertoire includes Female Chorus in The Rape Of Lucretia, Eurydice in Les Malheurs D'Orphée, and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas. She has appeared with the Wheeling Symphony as Mercedes in Carmen and as a soprano soloist with the All-American Chorus and Band during a 3-week concert tour through Italy, Austria, and Germany. She has also performed in summer music festivals in both Los Angeles and Boston, receiving scholarships and grants to each festival. Ms. Markovic has sung recitals at various churches in the area, and is currently a soloist at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church.
