Maine Hoppo, violinMaine Hoppo is a senior at North Allegheny Senior High School. Maine started violin at the age of 5. She currently studies with Mr. Hong-Guang Jia, an assistant concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She won several competitions including the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2016 and first place at the American Protégé International Concerto Competition in 2017. Maine was also a Pittsburgh Concert Society Solo Young Artist winner in 2018. She is a member of the first violin section in the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. Besides music, she enjoys playing tennis and is on the North Allegheny Girls Ultimate Frisbee team.
