Nao Kwon, a native of Cheong-ju, South Korea, began her marimba studies under Sang Soo Lee at age 18. In 2004, she attended Dankook University in Seoul, where she studied with Kang Gu Lee. Miss Kwon was a member of the Academy Percussion Ensemble, the Dankook University Orchestra, and the Kwachon Youth Orchestra. She also performed as a soloist with the Academy Percussion Ensemble and the Dankook University Orchestra. Nao is currently an Artist Diploma student at Duquesne University, studying with Andrew Reamer and Christopher Allen of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She is a member of the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra and the Duquesne Percussion Ensemble.
