The Penn Quartet, all members of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, earned Chamber Music Pittsburgh's Montgomery Fellowship for 2015-16 to study with Pittsburgh Symphony violinist Jeremy Black. In 2014-15 they studied with PSO violist Andrew Wickesberg. They will be featured on this season's Tiffany Concert Series in a performance of Mendelssohn's Octet. They have played for the PA Supreme Court, on stage at Three Rivers Arts Festival, for many events supporting the Pittsburgh Symphony, and for an ambassador and advisor to President Obama in the home of the president of Chautauqua Institution.
