Risé Kostilnik

Oboe

Risé Kostilnik is currently the Principal Oboe of the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds, and a member of the adjunct faculty at Seton Hill University.  She has been a member of the Westmoreland Symphony for 25 years, and is a frequent liturgical soloist and free-lance musician in the Pittsburgh and Greensburg area.  Ms. Kostilnik received a BFA in Music Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied with James Gorton and Thomas Faye.  Other pre-and post-graduate teachers have included Joan Shallin, Louis Rosenblatt and Felix Krause. A former member of the Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet Orchestras, Ms. Kostilnik has appeared in recital at Towsend State College in Maryland, Seton Hill University, and at various churches in the Pittsburgh area. Ms. Kostilnik is the Assistant Director of the Winds ‘n Jazz in June summer ensemble camp, based at Seton Hill University, and also maintains a private studio at her home in Gibsonia.
