Vahan Sargsyan

Armenian pianist Vahan Sargsyan is a graduate of Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan. Armenia, where his teachers were Elza Tandilyan and his father, renowned pianist and professor Villi Sargsyan. Vahan is a Laureate of the International Piano Competition in Rio-de-Janeiro, Brazil, as well as a winner of the Pittsburgh Concert Society auditions as a soloist and in several chamber music categories. He has concertized in Armenia, Georgia, Italy, Russia, Austria, Argentina, Brazil, USA and Canada.

Vahan's recordings have been released by Alanna Records, Aerophon, Massey, Ablaze and Suzuki labels. His solo concerto performance with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has led to his regular appearances at the orchestra’s keyboards. Along with collaborations in various festivals and on the concert stage, Mr. Sargsyan serves as faculty at Carnegie Mellon University.
