Vitaliy Lomakin was born in Lugansk, Ukraine. In 1985 Mr. Lomakin graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music, Kiev. He was soloist with the Opera and Ballet Theater of Kiev from 1985-1986 and from 1986-96, with the Kharkov Opera and Ballet theatre. Since 1996, he has been a soloist with the Czech National Opera theatre in Ostrava and the Opera and Ballet theatre in Prague. Mr. Lomakin's repertoire includes over 30 operas.
Mr. Lomakin was the winner of the Republic Lysenko competition. He was also laureate of the International Music Festival of Montpellier, France in 1992.
