William DeLelles

Percussion

William DeLelles currently resides in Wintersville, OH. He is a senior in High School and frequently travels to Pittsburgh for musical, cultural, and social engagements. He began classical percussion studies with Eliseo Rael in late 2007, and until then he was given only snare and drum-set lessons by his father. William is a percussionist with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, and has played two seasons with the Pittsburgh Jazz Society's Student Big Band. He has been awarded twenty-nine superior ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association's (OMEA) Solo and Ensemble Competition, and has participated in the OMEA All-State Choir (2008) and All-State Orchestra (2009). Outside of music, William tries to lead a "live happily as you go" life-style, taking every possible experience and making the most of it. His professional goals are playing in a professional symphony orchestra, and expanding the boundaries of "percussion" for generations to come.
