Maine Hoppo is a senior at North Allegheny Senior High School. Maine started violin at the age of 5. She currently studies with Mr. Hong-Guang Jia, an assistant concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She won several competitions including the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2016 and first place at the American Protégé International Concerto Competition in 2017. Maine was a Pittsburgh Concert Society Solo Young Artist winner in 2018. She is a member of the first violin section in the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. Besides music, she enjoys playing tennis and is on the North Allegheny Girls Ultimate Frisbee team.
Sora Hoppo is a freshman at North Allegheny Intermediate High School. Sora started piano at the age of 5 and studies with Professor Luz Manriquez at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. She won numerous awards at several competitions including the Cincinnati World Piano Competition, Duquesne Young Artist National Competition, the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra Concerto Competition, the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition, the OSAKA International Music Competition, the Steinway Society Young Artists, the American protégé International Concerto Competition, and the Pittsburgh International Piano Competition. Sora was a Pittsburgh Concert Society Solo Young Artist winner in 2015. Recently, she went to the Curtis Institute of Music as a Young Artist Summerfest participant.
