Jackson Hunt, 14, is in 8th Grade at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. He studies piano with Yeeha Chiu and composition with Robert Schultz. Jackson has received many awards for both, including being a Steinway Society of Western PA Young Artist, Pittsburgh International Piano Competition Second Prize winner, Streator-Smith Competition Second Prize Winner, Geneva College International Competition First Prize Winner, Duquesne Young Artist Competition Second Prize Winner, PMTA Piano Competition Honorable Mention Winner, Keystone Composition Competition First Prize Winner, and MTNA Composition Competition State Level First Prize Winner.
He has performed in the lobby of Heinz Hall, and on the stage at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, New York. Jackson would like to continue to further his studies in both piano and composition, and hopes to someday become a professional at both.
