The Shadyside Brass QuintetThe Shadyside Brass Quintet is one of the most exciting brass ensembles in Pittsburgh. Made up of five friends who share a love of brass playing, Shadyside Brass puts a new face on music for everyone. From mainstays of the brass quintet repertoire to classic jazz, rock, and show tunes, Shadyside Brass shows the versatility and beauty of brass music. They feature many of their own arrangements, with each of the members of the group contributing to the repertoire. The quintet realized early on that creating their own arrangements was a great way to bring something absolutely new to Pittsburgh audiences.

Shadyside Brass are Artists in Residence at the Heinz Memorial Chapel in Pittsburgh, PA. The members are: Joe Figliulo and David DeAngelo on trumpets, Doug Peters on horn, Justin Miller on tenor trombone and Matt Tesch on bass trombone. The quintet performs in a wide variety of venues including private concerts, benefits for local non-profits, weddings, local churches and coffee shops.
