PCS 2018 Young Artists Auditions

The 2018 PCS Young Artists auditions were held on Saturday, March 3. The adjudicator was Dr. Mitchell Arnold, Associate Professor and Director of Orchestra Activities at West Virginia University.

Dr. Arnold chose the following winners, listed in alphabetical order:

Chelsea Chao, piano, North Allegheny Intermediate School, a student of Natasha Snitkovsky

The Cygnus Quartet, coached by Karissa Zadinsky
 Chaehyun "Cuna" Kim. violin, Fox Chapel Area High School
 Sein Lee, violin, Mt Lebanon Senior High School
 Seowon "Thomas" Chang, viola, Peters Township High School
 Mirra Rusmussen, cello, Chartiers Valley High School

Maine Hoppo, violin, North Allegheny Senior High School, a student of Hong-Guang Jia

Jackson Hunt, piano, Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, a student of Yeeha Chiu

​Hannah Ishizaki, violin, Mt Lebanon Senior High School, a student of Hong-Guang Jia

Chaehyun "Cuna" Kim, violin, Fox Chapel Area High School, a student of Irene Cheng

Serena Luo, piano, Upper Saint Clair High School, a student of Hanna Wu Li

Jacob Ujhazy, piano, Hopewell Senior High School, a student of Donna Amato

Annie Wang, piano, Aquinas Academy, a student of Marina Lupinacci

Yosen Wang, viola, North Allegheny Senior High School, a student of Marylène Gingras-Roy

The winners will receive Benjamin and Anna Perlow Scholarships and will be features in concerts on March 18 and April 8, 2018 at the Kresge Theater, CMU campus.
